Rtn.A.Subramaniam, District Governor 2008-09
Subu, is a Chemical engineer
and the Managing Director of PESCO BEAM Environmental Solutions Pvt Ltd,
a company that operates in India and the U.S.A. His company designs and
builds plant and equipment for recycling liquid hydro carbons and for
the manufacture of sustainable bio-fuels. Several such systems built by
the company are in operation around the world. He is a highly rated
professional with 34 years of experience in chemical engineering design,
marketing and project management.
An alumnus of Vidya Mandir and
AC Tech-Guindy, Subu holds several related professional affiliations and
certificates. He is a President Scout having received that award, in
1967.
Subu is a member of the Rotary
Club of Madras West since 1988; was club president in 1999-2000; held
several District offices including those of Assistant Governor, District
Assembly Chair and District Membership Chair, before being elected
Governor. His contributions in each of the positions he held were
consistent, credible and continuous.
Subu wife Kalpana, is a
Graduate in English literature and a PG in Journalism. She contributes
significantly to a vibrant partnership, that is crossing 31 years. Anand,
their elder son is a soft skills trainer and Vignesh, the younger, is a
Chemical Engineer.
Subu loves music; reads a lot;
plays cricket and tennis; sketches and paints; and, is a good
percussionist. Widely traveled, he believes that enthusiasm is the key
to success. |
