Dong Kurn Lee R.I. President

Dong Kurn Lee, a Rotary Foundation trustee and a member of the Rotary Club of Seoul Hangang, Seoul, Korea, is the selection of the Nominating Committee for President of Rotary International in 2008-09.

Lee is chair of the Bubang Co. Ltd. and Bubang Techron Co. Ltd. manufacturing companies in Seoul and formerly served as a trustee of the Bank of Seoul. In 2005, he was appointed an international goodwill ambassador by the president of Korea.

Subu, is a Chemical engineer and the Managing Director of PESCO BEAM Environmental Solutions Pvt Ltd, a company that operates in India and the U.S.A. His company designs and builds plant and equipment for recycling liquid hydro carbons and for the manufacture of sustainable bio-fuels. Several such systems built by the company are in operation around the world. He is a highly rated professional with 34 years of experience in chemical engineering design, marketing and project management.

An alumnus of Vidya Mandir and AC Tech-Guindy, Subu holds several related professional affiliations and certificates. He is a President Scout having received that award, in 1967.

Subu is a member of the Rotary Club of Madras West since 1988; was club president in 1999-2000; held several District offices including those of Assistant Governor, District Assembly Chair and District Membership Chair, before being elected Governor. His contributions in each of the positions he held were consistent, credible and continuous.

Subu wife Kalpana, is a Graduate in English literature and a PG in Journalism. She contributes significantly to a vibrant partnership, that is crossing 31 years. Anand, their elder son is a soft skills trainer and Vignesh, the younger, is a Chemical Engineer.

Subu loves music; reads a lot; plays cricket and tennis; sketches and paints; and, is a good percussionist. Widely traveled, he believes that enthusiasm is the key to success.

Rtn.M.Arumugham - RCMC President
 

Rtn. M. Arumugham takes over as the 17th President of the Rotrary Club of Madras Cosmos.

Born in Chennai, Arumugham completed his schooling at MCC Chetpet. He . graduated from New College Chennai, with Physics as his major subject. He pursued his studies in Madras University in Port Folio Management.

Arumugham started his career as a Systems Executive in Mohan Breweries, Unable to confine himself, Arumugham took to marketing.

Currently a managing partner of Hybrid Auto Cast manufacturing Aluminium pressure die casting supplying ot various leading automobile manufacturing companies.

Aru is the great grand son of the illustrious freedom fighter, TS. Chokalingam Pillai, who was also the founder editor of the famous tamil daily Dinamani. So there is no wonder that this friendly guy has the will to serve, sincere and hard working.

Few have the honor of becoming the President of a Rotary Club, and this honor in the case of Arumugham is doubled since our immediate past president G Gnanavelan takes the credit of introducing him to Rotary, and also passing on the mantle of leadership, Aru has taken lead roles as Director in the various portfolios of the club and has served in important posts such as Club Service Director, Secretary and Treasurer.

This open and ever-smiling ARU has his better half in Suba , who is a silver medalist in Math with a post graduate in computer applications. A great cook, she is also a sudoko freak. She teaches math. This wonderful couple are blessed with a little hero Aditya Manickam who is in Class 4 in PS Senior Secondary School.
